He promised to always be my best friend. He promised to marry me if we were both single at thirty. He promised me a forever together.
But that was before I discovered a secret that seemed to shatter everything I’d come to believe in. Had I lost him before he was ever mine? Had this secret ruined any promise of a forever together?
So again this book picks up right where we left off, with Chloe’s recklessness jeopardizing her new-found relationship with Jax. Chloe found out some information, which could change her entire life…and Jax’s. Why didn’t she just go to him? Now that Chloe is in the hospital, it becomes more apparent to Jax that he needs her, and that perhaps he has already forgiven her. He cares for her and is by her side until she wakes up. But when she does, she’s not the same Chloe who he was supposed to take on a date only days before. But what could have possibly changed? I loved how these two, true to form, never say what they actually feel, always worried what the other will think! Very realistic! However multiple times over the book, I wanted to shake the crap out of them. Just listen to one another!!! I loved how the story ended. Perfect!!!
